Easter 2011

Missy's work had an Easter egg hunt for the kids on Saturday afternoon after the haircut. She gathered 69 eggs! It was crazy. Since that day was warm, a lot of the chocolate melted, but I'm sure she'll eat it anyway. ;)

Before the egg hunt started, Hannah waited patiently and posed with one of her favorite "flowers" - the dandelion. ;)

Everyone knows your Easter basket makes a splendid hat. :)

Look at all the eggs they had. This was just for Hannah's age group (5-7 year olds).

The princess with her bounty.

Her basket overfloweth, so Bubba's purse became another collection device.

She was hard at work getting those eggs!

The final results of the egg hunt.

We got to go to church as a family (minus Dad, who is not a church-goer) on Sunday, and I snapped a picture of Hannah in her Easter dress. Didn't she look cute? I loved orange flower headband with the outfit. She looked very spring-y. :)

Later that day, we had Easter lunch together and had an egg hunt for Hannah at our house. Here are some highlights from that:

She enjoyed some of the more unique places the eggs were hidden...

including in Papa's shirt!

My coworker, Jeffrey, asked me to hide a quarter for Hannah in one of the egg's. True to form, he didn't want to take credit and asked that I say it was from a Disney character. Since she's currently a HUGE fan of Rapunzel, I put her Flynn Rider character in a big egg, wrote a note that said, "You found my treasure! (signed) Flynn Rider," and put the quarter in it. She loved it.

Next up was opening her Easter bag from Tia. First came the stickers...

following by a Rapunzel make-up set. I love how excited she looks in this picture.

Here she's opening her eyes to look at the basket Mommy got her.

She loved her Thumper doll and a new Rapunzel book to practice her reading.

After she read to Papa, they "posed" for a picture!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!
