If Only Every Day Was Like This...

From the text of an email forward our department secretary sent me...

"This video was made in the Antwerp, Belgium Central (Train) Station on the 23rd of March 2009.

With no warning to the passengers passing through the station, at 8:00 am a recording of Julie Andrews singing Do, Re, Mi begins to play on the public address system. As the bemused passengers watch in amazement, some 200 dancers begin to appear from the crowd and station entrances.

They created this amazing stunt with just two rehearsals! Enjoy!"

I really believe our world would be a better place if more things like this happened. If only our government could plan things like this to brighten people's days and amaze them - without stopping to want credit for it - instead of making all the other kinds of plans they waste their time on. I must be a sap - this is the second time this weekend something silly brought me to tears. (The other was a quote from Walt Disney at the end of Meet the Robinsons; so many people owe some of their best family memories to a man who never lived to see how his dreams and creativity brightened millions of lives. The movie was sort of a tribute to him, and it got my tear ducts a work-out, too).

Anyway, on with the show...

That was so awesome. I loved the looks on peoples faces...the smiles... people dropping their bags and joining the dancing. So cool
